  • Configuring Outlook 2003 for SMTP Authentication

The new e-mail server requires clients to perform SMTP Authentication before sending e-mails.  If you are getting a Greylisting error or forward not allow error when trying to send an e-mail, check your SMTP Authentication settings.
  • Changing SMTP Port in Outlook 2003

If you are able to receive e-mails but get a connection refused error when sending, your ISP may be blocking SMTP port 25. This is a common practice with hotels, colleges and Qwest. We have created an alternate port (5025) to get around this issue. Simply change your SMTP port from 25 to 5025. Click the link above for Outlook 2003 directions.
